Parigi, agosto 2024. Quando mi imbatto in qualche sua traccia non resisto mai alla tentazione di scriverne. Questa magnifica incisione del Parc de Buttes Chaumont fa parte del corredo illustrativo della bella mostra del Musée des Arts Decoratifs dedicata alla nascita dei grandi magazzini parigini. Essendo stato realizzato da Jean-Charles Alphand che aveva progettato, tra gli altri, il bois de Boulogne, sotto Napoleone III e nel disegno complessivo della città voluto dal barone Hsussmann non poteva certo mancare in una mostra su quel grandioso periodo. Il parco è uno dei più suggestivi che abbia visto…

Il s'agît d'un des premiers tableaux connus de Georges Dufrenoy, en 1895 il a 25 ans et à l'époque l'impressionnisme triomphe ! il est naturellement influencé par ses aînés en particulier Claude Monet.
Exposé en 1983 au musée des beaux-arts de Lyon.
